OCFD6 Board of Fire Commissioners

Business planning and finances of Okanogan County Fire District 6 (OCFD6) is under the jurisdiction of the OCFD6 Board of Commissioners. The Board consists of three publicly elected Commissioners. Each Commissioner is elected to a six-year term by the District’s voters. The Fire Chief and Board Secretary are appointed by the Commissioners and attend the monthly Board meetings.

The Board is responsible for preparation and administration of the annual budget, preparation and administration of short and long range plans, and oversees the business aspects of OCFD6.

Board meetings are on the 2nd Monday of each month at the Winthrop Fire Station, 33 Horizon Flats RD, Winthrop, WA starting at 7:00PM.  They are conducted in accordance with ‘The Standard Code of Parliamentary Procedure, 4th Edition.  A copy of these procedures is on file at the Winthrop Station.

Public Hearing on 2025 Budget

The Board of Commissioners of Okanogan County Fire Protection District No. 6 will hold a public hearing to consider its proposed budget for 2025.  The hearing will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, October 21, 2024 at the District Office located in Winthrop at 33 Horizon Flat Road in Okanogan County, Washington.  Copies of the proposed budget will be available at the meeting.  All interested persons are invited to attend.
